new style 'stripe' dublin boots any better than the old style?

I know the old version have bad reviews, I had a pair myself which I loved and lasted a year before the lining went. But was wondering if the new stripe has stopped them sagging? As this was more annoying than the lining!
I really want another pair, but I don't want to waste my money
