Owned my new TB for four days and we've already had an accident! Bringing him in from field with this stupid gate that closed onto the electric fence. Long story short, he got his side caught on gate and went forward to try and free himself, which tightened and he panicked, got caught up in electric fence! Not really sure what happened, but thought he was gonna pull gate off! Brought him in and he was sound, but after doing rugs and taking off boots, he had a warm, spot on outside of fetlock area where he'd bashed it on fence post. Got a couple of the other TB owning liveries to take a look and they reckoned he'd be fine, just a bash. He's going back out in field tomorrow and I've got a lesson in afternoon, both of which I've been told to still do.

Anyway- going into a bit of a panic! Do I need to worry or is it pointless?! Bandaged him as a precaution! Thanks! :O xxx

Worrying is pointless, and horses seldom expire through fetlock bruises.
If he were mine though, I'd trot him up in the morning, in good time before my planned lesson so I'd be able to cancel/postpone it if he's at all unlevel.
And maybe cold hose for 10 mins morning and evening.
S :D
