New cob is currently barefoot, he is a tad porky and unfit currently. His new management with me will consist of mainly hacking on grass tracks with some roadwork, also schooling on a mixed rubber/sand surface.

He is not being fed at the moment, out 24/7 with hay and a mineral lick.

Is there anything i need to watch out for in his feet? Any supplements/vits & mins to keep his feet healthy and strong?

I'd carry on as you are for now if you're happy and he's happy.

If he's porky he won't need anything until he's working harder and weigh starts dropping off. Then I'd try him on Micronised linseed and anything high fibre with no or little as possible mollasses in.

If his feet start wearing away too quickly then perhaps you'll need to get him some hoof boots (Cavallo Simples are as the name suggests simple and easy to use and measure up).

Other than that just carry on as you would if you had a shod horse... Only you never have to worry about loosing a shoe!
