Hi All
I had a pony several years ago and now my children have grown up I would love to buy another pony my last one was a welsh mountain.
I was thinking of a fell pony as I am older and only 5ft 2 inches does anyone have any better choice ponies I would love a calm easy ride ,I think since covid we are all looking for something new .

our native breeds are amazing, I would definitely think you would find a Dale's, fell, welsh, or new forest to suit you. I'm 5ft1 and have fairly large Cleveland bays, I'm always inclined to show people how great they are (and calm too!!) but at around 16hh on average, they may not be what you are after. I've personally never met a Dale's or new forest that I didn't like, cracking little allrounders and many are easy keepers (just watch for lami) welcome!!

Thank you everyone for your kind words, I am so excited to get a pony but also worried that I make the wrong choice .
I currently live in Cumbria does anyone have any contact that sell ponies such as a fell pony with a good background.
Thank you

Have a look on the Fell Pony Society website at the sales list. Also look up Nicola Evans on Facebook.
Prices have gone up in the last 3 years or so, expect to pay a minimum of 3k and up to 5k for a sensible good pony. More if a Dales or Highland, less for a New Forest. Much more for a Connemara.
The Welsh C goes up to 13.2 and might be worth considering?
