New transporting horse laws

Hi,

I have not paid much attention to these new laws, as my new method of transport does not allow me to take out friends horses anyway.

I do accasionally get asked by a friend to transport her horses an her lorry, and am wondering whether I need this new certificate, or whether it may be a handy thing to have anyway?

I have been offered a place on a course in 2 weeks time (apparently at reduced cost) and wondering whether to take it.

Does anyone know the new laws or where I can find them out? Also if anyone has done it already, how much should I expect to pay, and is it something that will need redoing annually or anything?

Also I believe there is just a grooms competence certificate?

If you go to DEFRA site or google the items you are interested in it should give you all you need, also try searching this site, its been discussed many times!!
