New type of Sprenger KK Ultra - anyone use?

I am looking for a new bit for my horse. He doesn't have any particular issues with bitting its just that his current bit is a bit manky and he deserves a decent new bit. I cant really decide between a loose ring or an eggbut - his current bit is a hanging cheek - however, I saw this which seems to be a good alternative. But, I've not seen it in the flesh and wonder if the edges would actually dig into him, although the blurb says its gentle on the corners of the mouth.

If he goes well in a hanging cheek and you aren't having issues then I would just buy a new one of them

If it aintbroke don't fix it. Buy the same again rather than create problems.

Don't know if you do dressage but, if you do, it it says that it is not BD dressage legal.
