NEW UPDATE ON THE FABULOUS DEALER!!!

morning everyone! Just a quick update (sorry if you are all becoming bored - please tell me and ill stop!!!) I cantered Dealer right round the school on both reins on Sunday and was very pleased with myself! Today i cantered in the school again but wasnt so good on the right rein - its totaly me and definatly not him - When i ask i tip forward badly and put my hands up, i know im doing it but dont seem to be able to stop, ive got another lesson tomorrow but we are still only at trot! Any way he just runs faster and kinda looks confused, so i have to hang onto my balance strap then he pops in ok (Halelulla for the invention of the balance strap!!!) But my big achievemnet this morning was walking to the car park and back on our own. He has always felt a bit nappy leaving the yard and will never go in front but he went all on his own today, admittedly it was only 5 mins there and back! But he didnt argue about going or spook. The next stage is the muck heap and back and thats past all the scary caravans that change every day and the golf range! What a lovely boy!!!! x

Well done! Sometimes the little achievements are the most exciting! I went out on a hack on Brooke for the first time yesterday on my own and though I was nervous I think I did really well so I know how pleased you must be!

No matter how big or small, it is an achievement for both of you, well done hun. The more you ride him the more confident you will get. Keep having the lessons, it doesnt happen overnight but you are headed in the right direction
