During an impulsive moment (had a few of those recently, which included ripping off some [modern, cheap, horrible, not our choice] panelling in the kitchen ‘to see what’s underneath’ as well as ripping up some laminate from the kitchen floor, also to see what was underneath...), the OH bought a cordless Dyson Animal. I’m amazed! I’ve just done 3 bedrooms and the landing in 3 minutes. It was shamefully full of dog hair and dust, but oh my word, it’s scary how strong it is! I’m never lugging the full size one upstairs again!

If the dogs hadn’t sloped off after one horrified look (it’s quite noisy), I think I’d have vacuumed them!

Hope it continues to work well for you. I had 3 dysons in 5 years so they didn't last long. Current Hoover is the Miele cat and dog which continues to be superb after over 10 years of abuse.

How odd! Once I found the secret (I’m just a bit blind!) filter in the big one and washed it, it started working brilliantly again. I’m just delighted I don’t have to lug it upstairs, I’m way too lazy! The landing has never looked so clean!

After 2 naff dysons I impulse bought a Karcher industrial vacuum cleaner. It was pretty cheap, simple (doesn't have loads of fancy attachments) and is brutally effective. I love it!! Never going for a smart vacuum again as we are simply too dirty here lol :) :)
