New website

its nice and plain, which makes it more inviting, nothing flashy to put people off, nice and simple to use so that people dont get put off because they cant use the website, so its looking good over time im sure it will grow as well

Good website! Do you own this yard then? Looks really nice. Like the idea of a tack room for each stable, very luxurious!!;)

no i'm just one of the liveries but have done it for them. We have a few empty stables and hope to get them filled for winter so figured a website might help.

The private tack rooms are brilliant - for nearly all the stables they are actually at the back of the stable, accessed through a door from the stable - means nothing ever goes missing but Chico does stand in his stable with his head in the tack room watching me make up his dinner :D

It is such a lovely yard, no 'mines better than yours' or similar, just happy horse owners with even happier horses.

That's even cooler! The amount of time I spend walking between stables and tack room is unbelievable, although it's only because I'm the most forgetful person ever!

i know it's a godsend - when you are mucking out all your tools are right there, so is the shavings, hay, tack etc - i think i have been spoilt though, i cant move yards now as i would be so disappointed at the lack of my own tack room!

The one thing I would change would be the header as it the first thing new visitors to your website will notice and the picture says nothing about livery yards or horses.

the website has been made on a free website so you have to choose a pre-set design.
This one was the closest to horses and yards i could find. Sadly there is no preset horse theme.

EDIT - just found out i can change the background image so am off to knock up something nice in photoshop - watch this space!

I wouldn't describe the yard as 'small' with 25 stables, also in the prices hay is at £5.30 what quantity is that for?

And being really picky in the About Us part - Year round turnout is available and the fields are well maintained, all featuring electrified post and rail fencing. I would write something like this Year round turnout is available with well maintained paddocks all featuring electrified post and rail fencing.

Great job though :)

I put 'small' because the layout of the yard stables etc is compact - it's not spread around everywhere and does make the stables area feel 'all together'.
If you look at the photos i dont think the yard comes across as particularly big - but i may be wrong :o

You missed out a comma, there. ;)

I think you can tell it's a free website but who cares?

It does everything it needs to, tells you what you need to know and the pictures are worth a thousand words, it looks lovely. :)

Just need to get people looking at it now, get people posting it on fb etc. Good luck, it really does look like a very nice yard

How nice of you to do this for your YO :)
it looks a nice yard, i agree with the comment about the games etc at the side being a distraction. So you can compare - this is one www.hillhousestables.co.uk - that is also done on a free website builder. OK, it has the top advertising banner but not much more to distract from the info.
I like the mix of photos you've put on :)

yeah as people have said the adverts are because it is a free site. You can get rid of the ads for £3.30 a month but as i'm not the YO i dont really want to pay for that (i'm quite poor!)

Thanks for all the comments, just need more people to see it now.

Any tips on getting it on google first page when searching 'Crook Cottage Stables'?
