Does anyone have one - good or bad opinions? I'm at my wits end trying to find something to fit my veteran.

She has put a bit of condition on after I had upped her sugar beet and added linseed to her feed, after a comment from my farrier that she was a bit lean.

She looks better, and is starting to widen again at the withers. But the WH saddle I had widened for her is now too narrow again, so looking to get something with a changeable gullet.

She also has a bit of a dipped back owing to her age - have these trees changed dramatically - are they a lot less curved than before?

My saddler tried a 17" new dressage version on her and it was too 'big' all over and too long, so looking at a 16 - 16.5". Do they come True to size?

I have the wide version so not not sure how the regular versions are. Mine is a 16 inch and is really big. I have to use a full size number and use an 18 inch saddle cover.

I bought a 17 inch regular saddle for my old 14hh mare and it looked massive on her so in my experience they are bigger than the size stated. x

That's really helpful, thanks spotty! Exactly the info I needed. I have a feeling when I used to use the 16.5 that I may have been placing it too far f

Forward, sorry, and that it also could hve been too long so perhaps I should be looking at the 16". I remember I used a large nuumed numnah then too (i'm talking over 11 years ago!).

I have a New Wintec for my TB and love it! Nothing like the old ones , the panels are much softer and overall a better shape.

Thanks Clava, does your TB have any sort of curve to his back? I've heard the new ones are not as curved, but I don't know if
