New yard questions...

I need some questions to ask about when calling up about new yards, and my head has gone fuzzy...

I have the basics:

House turnout summer winter, herd sizes, mixed herds, price inclusive of facilities, limitations on entering yard at different times, can anyone help me with some more questions please?! This will be the 5th yard I've been on in 2 years :O though not as bad as it sounds, only had smoke at 2 yards and moved from last due to lack of winter grassing lol

Depends what is most important to you, mine are:

Do they have turn out all year round
Are you allowed your own farrier or does the yard have one for all
Times in/out of the yard
Can you buy in hay or does the yard supply.

Can't think of anything else at the mo.
 
here's my short list :)

What is included in the price?
Do you charge extra for holding for treatments/administering medicines etc ?

Who would be looking after him? Any children helping out?
How busy is the school at different times of the day/week
Do we have to pay to use the school?

What is your process of introducing new horses into the group?
Do the same groups of horses go out together every day?
Is the routine different in summer – ie do they go out at night and in during the day
Are they allowed to stay out 24 hours?
How many acres of grazing are there?
What time do they go out and come in from fields?
How many horses to a field?
What are the fields like in winter

What type of hard feed to they get – is that twice a day
How often do they get hay
What time does the hay go in their stables?
Do you top up at night?
Can we give them extra hay foc ?

Do you have a worming plan
Do you have lessons/clinics here
Do people hold shows regularly around here?
Are there regular rides out?

Is there a rug drying room?
Is there a washing down area
What insurance do you have?
What are your opening hours ?
Is there a limit of how much stuff you can leave up here
Do you have a contract
Assisted Livery – what does this include
Herd turnout or individual
Can you bring in as well in evenings
What bedding
What farrier
How much hay and straw are we allowed
Who would be handling him
Storage areas
School use
Opening hours
Lights in school
Are you allowed in during the day and out at night in summer
What times do they go out and get brought in in winter
Are they allowed out whatever the weather
Do you have hunts or shoots over your land?
