So to kick off - for me new year, new start. I will be selling my boy as he does not want to go XC (although he will follow anyone). He is brilliant for dressage and SJ and I really did try to go down the pure SJ route as he is talented there but I don't get the same thrill as I do from eventing (or the same scares either, but that is a different story!). So as long as I can sell him to nice people who want a section A in a 16.2 body then I will be hunting for an eventer..

Also partly helped as my friend will be taking over our yard as from January 1st and has a lot of plans and aims to recharge everything. She is very dedicated and focused so time for me to take a deep breath and get back into what I really do love. Already seeing some of Emilys ideas and goals take aim so it will be brilliant when she is in full flow! and as her passion is eventing, I think that is going to be a stronger aim for our yard..

My resolution - keep up the competition diary/lessons. Very easy to let time slip and suddenly realise you have a bored horse and haven't been out for a few weeks!. Planning ahead with a friend worked so much better... and I will be keeping up my SJ lessons with Mr Osbourne, even if his comments about my core are less than flattering (but very very funny).

So - what goals do you have? because... the days of sunshine, light and ability to ride WILL come again..even if right now, if you are like me, all you do is pour money down 2 hairy unfit and smelly horses, groom and fall over a lot on the ice (but hey, the staffies love the snow!)
