I brought my new yearling filly home at the weekend.she travelled fantastically and was pretty calm when we got hr home too so was over the moon with her. Also the day before another new mare arrived after my boys current companion went home so hes had some upheaval too, but does seem to have taken it in his stride bless him. They are already all in together - did it themselves when I wasnt watching!!! Anyway this is my first yearling, was planning on just letting her get used to me hanging around for a week or so then starting to catch her up and get a routine going, simple stuff first general handling, tying up, coming in stable, feet etc-does this sound sensible? Would love to hear your advice/experiences with your brand new babies!!
