Got a yearling eventually put him with main herd of geldings(small anyway just 4 of them ) and hes now come in really sore, tendon area soft and sensitive.
But whats really shocked me is tho only had him a little while its really upset me (am usually a very practical lets get on with it sort of person)He's such a dude even with sore leg

There are a few other youngster one older in particular likes to have his own little herd so has probably been chasing my boy to stop him joining 'others' also pulled off his headcollar(this horse has rep for that). The older horse is an a**e but because owner takes no notice of it-no manners etc.Shame really as he loves attention.
Anyway not blaming horse really thats just horses. Its a pain but on a positive note can spend more time bonding with new boy and as hes a yearling hes got another 2 yrs to heal before we do anything major

You do need to be careful when putting youngsters in with an older more established group of horses.

Hopefully you'll be able to turn him out from now on with others his own age. Good luck to him.
