Does anyone know anyone who can put a new zip in a pair of long leather riding boots?
Both myself and my friend have busted the zip in one of our boots and we can't find anyone who can repair them. Preferably looking for someone in scotland but anywhere considered

Any local cobbler will be able to do it

I use a company called first class shoe repairs over the years they have stretched them, added zips, added elastic gussets down the side of zips and repaired them brilliantly. They do freepost to send them too.

www.fcrepairs.co.uk then go to equestrian

Not my way they won't!! I tried about half a dozen + a few saddlers none of whom would touch them. As mine were Mountain Horse ones I posted mine back to them in the end and they replaced at £25 per zip. Seem to remember there was someone advertising in H+H recently for zips but again would be a post to them job I imagine!

Recently got one of my Mountain Horse zips replaced at local Timpson (after another local cobbler repaired them using a stupidly spindly zip which broke immediately

) but it cost £35

and took a few weeks ... first time I wore the pair of boots again, the OTHER zip broke

As ButterBean says ALWAYS do the zips on BOTH boots at the same time, even if there not broken as they will as soon as u get them back!!!
I've just had mine done for £30, for both boots and leather patches added to the insides where I've worn through!!!
But i'm down in Devon whivh ain't much good for u!!
