I don't compete, I am a breeder, so don't normally post here but I am so proud of my two home bred Shagya Arabs. I have more youngsters to bring on this year and next.

Our home bred Shagya stallion competed in endurance until 6 years of age for his stud book performance, completing 3 x90km endurance with effortless ease. At the age of 7 he started jumping in France.

His full sister qualified for the National SJ Championships for 6 year olds in France but was kicked in the field and had to have a month off jumping on vet's orders. A real bummer as I had advertised her for sale and had to turn away buyers. When sound she went on to jump a further two clear rounds. 2016 12 clear rounds from 14 starts.

This year she had one clear round in first three outings and has jumped clear rounds in each of her last 4 competitions. We are delighted with her, 8th place in a 1.10M Amateur Grand Prix, out of 73 starts and only 16 clear rounds. Last weekend 3rd place out of 41 starts in a speed class with a 1.15M Joker.

We are delighted with them both. Shagya are 90% Arabian and my two stand at about 16hh.

Mare with blue boots and sheepskin noseband, stallion with red boots.

Yes Pinkyboots. We have frozen semen for him for EU and USA, his first foal by AI was born in Texas a few weeks ago. We have a foal by him out of one of our CB mares. He is as good as gold in competition - no trouble at all with mares.

Did you change jockey in the end, as I think you were a little unhappy previously?

Yes Amy May I did. I have a lady rider who took the mare out and jumped four clear rounds in succession and was placed in two big classes. This is a step up for her as she is now jumping Amateur Grand Prix at 1.10M a technically more difficult competition. A friend of the male rider tells me the lady is a bad rider and only jumped 4 clear rounds because the horse is brilliant.

There you go I can up her price by a few 1,000 euros and stick anyone on her back, Foxhunters here we come (can't do those smiley faces).
