Hi Jane,

I live about 15 miles from Ayr. Places closest to you would be Ayr Equestrian, Muirmill just outside Dundonald (I'm sure they still do lessons, but I could be wrong, you would need to check), Lionsgate just outside Ayr or Woodside which is in Monkton.

All these are good riding schools and would cater for you and your son.

Welcome to Ayrshire and hope this helps :)

Hi thank you for your reply,
do any of them do pony clubs that my son could attend? i really dont know if i will do lessons or part loan, i think with lessons you only ride, i want to do everything, not just jumping on and off the horse.

Woodside is an approved riding school and pony club centre they do their pony club sessions on a friday evening. You can look at their website and their facebook page (woodside equestrian centre). Contact might be a bit difficult just now as Lindsay's in hospital but Vicky the instructor's mobile number is on the facebook page, she can tell you what you want to know. Muirmill only do lessons for your own horse, they're not a riding school. They do offer great stuff for amateurs and Laura and Lee have worked tirelessly (and in the face of all kinds of stuff) to getthe place on its feet again. Hope you find somethingto suit :D
