Hello everyone
I have just had my pony returned after a very successful 5 year loan. She sadly partially reptured her superficial digital flexor tendon which has ended her competition and probably ridden career. So, I find myself back looking after pony after a long break and much has changed!
I'm looking at getting some cooling / bandaging products to help with her bad leg should she display any heat/discomfort or come in from the field hopping lame. There seems to be so much on the market now I'm not sure what would be best. I'm thinking something instant (i.e cold gel/gel packs) and boots/bandages that can be left onovernight to ease any heat/swelling.
Also, just to be prepared, as she is heavily feathered, I'd like to get something to avoid/combat mud fever.
Any advise is much appreciated! I'm loving being back in the horse world once again (I've owned pony for 14 years now) and want to do everything I can to make sure she has a long and happy retirement.
Many thanks!
