Newspaper Shredding!

Has anyone used a garden shredder to shred newspaper. I used a office shredder last winter to shred paper for my three horses it worked well but am looking for a less time consuming way to achieve this! Several people have mentioned this idea but am worried it would clog up the shredder!

I can get a unlimited supply of news papers for free. I just need a way of shredding them up.

I've always wondered this too, so watching this post with interest.

Where can you get an endless supply of free newspapers from though please? I would give it a go and let you all know if someone can tell me where to get the papers from? I'm on the Oxon/Bucks border - so if anyone can suggest anywhere or knows, then please let me know.

Not sure about a garden shredder but how about a blow vac (the type that picks up leaves) they also shred (leaves) so might be able to do paper?

I don't know, just a thought.

I know my friend beds all her horses on newspaper. Im sure she uses a chaff/straw chopper and it comes out in small disc shapes.
