Tis a lovely dog, really sweet.

However, we've had sick twice and now she's cocking her leg to wee on things inthe house....I assume because of the smell of my dog. She's also chased the cat, snapping and snarling, on numerous occasions....she was supposed to be good with cats.

Gah!

Come on Wednesday....hurry up! I've already had to turf my poor dog out and put him in the garden or a stable because he's got the hots for her. When she's had her last walk, I pop her in the kitchen and then bring Jasper in overnight.

It seemed such an easy offer to make for a friend and I know the dog is enjoying her time on a farm, running free etc for walkies over the fields. I just didn't expect my animals to have to suffer so much as a consequence of my action of kindness.

Poor Jasper, he's 13 1/2, so getting on a bit to be stressed.....either by being left alone or the bonking!

I would put the boarding dog in a stable or the dog run, but as she's an ex-rescue my friend didn't want to put her in boarding kennels for fear of her thinking she'd been abandonned again.

Can't you stick her out in your newly fenced garden? I used to do that to Sweep when he was being a pain - stick her out and shut the door - let your old boy in. You should find that after the initial tantrum she will calm down, put her bed out by the back door so she has somewhere to sit if needs be.

I tried that. She jumps the gates! I have no idea how, as they're rather tall, but she won't stay in the garden if you're not with her.

Strange really as our gates/fences are much taller than the gates she has at home on the driveway.
