NFU equine insurance premium 2009

Hello,

If anyone has renewed their NFU equine insurance this year please can I ask:

How does it compare to last year's premium? Has it gone up or down and by how much, ie percent or pounds. Not asking how much you pay, just a value up or down.

I'm puzzled why mine has gone up 20% in one year with no claims. The lady I spoke to this morning said all premiums had gone up a similar amount, just how it is - obviously not the case. NFU are getting back to me. Don't mind if all premiums have gone up, just don't like to be fobbed off.

Mine has gone up quite a bit on my youngster but then I have claimed about £13k from them for my older horse in the last year. Wasn't going to claim LOA from them but as they have wacked my youngsters insurance up I am going to now!!

I didn't claim for either of mine last year and premium has gone down by nearly £10 per month

The NFU Mutual have increased there rates on all policies over the last couple of months which means I have to remember all new figures!! This is the first increase on horses since 2007 I think.

mine went up by £4 for the whole year no claims made!(touch wood).
