My friend has just had her renewal from NFU, it has gone up 73% from £419 to £719
for her mare. She asked and was told well the mare is a year older Yes!!!
We wonder if it is because the mare is now 20 years old.
The excess is now £145 on any claim. She did claim 2 years ago and that problem has been excluded now.
The mare is only insured for £1.000 and my friend is thinking of taking out BHS gold membership, that covers her for public liability , her tack is covered by her home insurance
and cancelling the NFU policy.
Are there any insurance companies that take the older equine!!!
