NFU PREMIUM INCREASES (also in CR)

My renewal came through last week and had gone up over £200 even though I hadn't had a claim for over 2 years. I got a really good quote from KBIS who I couldn't find a bad thing about, so I have gone with them. They put an exclusion on the passport for sarcoids as george has one treated 2 years ago, but I was expecting that. So definately have a look at their policies.

ETS - I didn't have to have a vetting as George is insured for less than £5k, I just had to fill in an online questionnaire with regards his health, non routine vet visits etc.

I work in the horse insurance industry and can tell you that NFU have had to increase their premium by on average 25% as their scheme was running at a loss for a number of years.

My company is seeing many quotations from people who were insured with NFU and we are picking loads up and normally they are cheaper than us!

When enquiring with these people, nearly all of them I have spoken to have tried to get a discount but to no avail, they are not having much movement on premiums.

The problem is they did the lifetime high discount rolled out last year for existing members and now they want to put their premiums up they have had to jump them up!
