I haven’t actually tried but suspect my sheets are going to be pretty big on my little mare!

I’d like something warm but not too warm!
Something that will keep the worst of the weather off but doesn’t necessarily have to be waterproof as she is in during the day still so has time to dry/cool before being rugged up properly.

High viz I guess is a bonus, again not my top priority

My top priority is that it sits well. I don’t much like under saddle ones as I try to keep all that very minimal and crease free! Non flappy or crinkly!
I find that wrap around/ comp types tend to slide back (or is that just particular sheets/horses/saddles🤷‍♀️)
She is 6’6 in normal rugs.

Anyone tried Comfort Zone?

Ant recommendations please?

I find the Hy ones with a saddle cutout are pretty good, they have a fleece lining so not too slidey/flappy. I do find they are better passed under the saddle flap but over the girth straps, they slip a bit if put on top of the saddle flap so probably not so good if you have a monoflap.

Equidry - waterproof and comes with a variety of linings.
I like the look of these but had seen several for sale on market place which as they are relatively new made me wonder…

I have the Equisafety Mercury. It sits well and is shaped. I have the yellow hi-viz, but the orange one is fabulously bright. I've had it 3 years and wash it once a year. It's starting to let water in during heavier downpours. It's wrap around and it did come with a belly strap, but I've never used it (never found that we needed it). My only gripe is the strange placement of stirrup holes too far forward, but I never use them (I wrap it under the outer flap). Cob is a warm boy,but he doesn't overheat. In fact, I don't think I'd recommend it for warmth.

I used to have a Vbandz quarter sheet which was great quality and will probably go for another when my Mercury wears out. That lasted years and I only sold it due to my Exmoor being pts and it being wayyyy too small for my cob.

I have the rambo fleece one that doesn't sit under the saddle and find it good. I've had it for years and used it a lot and it's lasted really well.

Another vote for these! I’m on my third one now (due to changing horses) and really rate them! Has to be the branded though as they’re nice and thick and sit well, whereas the copycats tend to be 1 thin piece of fleece that slide back and wobble around
