Nicola Wilson is on the team!

Poetic Justice, or call it Karma - Good news for Team GB. Bad luck indeed for PF having both contenders injured, but she must have felt lucky in the first place to get in over Nicola. Well done Nicola, you and Opposition Buzz certainly deserve your place.
 
Nicola should have had a place from word GO! Sorry but dont know what Zara and this horse of hers has done to prove its self about Nicola in the first place.

Piggy is a very humble, talented and graceful rider and for her to ride London 2012 would have been amazing for her and almost like a pat on the back to say youve done so well this is your reward. Gutted for her but as ive always said very well deserved for Nicola and Opposition
 
How awful for Piggy - she must feel terrible, poor girl. Team GB are very lucky to have someone of Nicola Wilson's quality to step up to the plate.

And please let's not go down the 'she should have been there in the first place cos X is not as good' route. It's ungenerous and unnecessary.

Totally agree - all these riders are incredibly talented, I'm so sorry for Piggy French who must be devastated - but obviously it's great for team GB that we have such an excellent reserve to call on.

Well said, couldn't agree more! Who are any of us to say who does/doesn't "deserve" their place?! We're very fortunate to have such a wealth of home grown talent in the UK which must make the selection process very tough!

Delighted for NW/OB (love watching them x country!) but so sad for poor Piggy :(
 
So sad it had to be Piggy ommitted but she will get her turn im sure.

Found out earlier today that I have got tickets for Xc, so hearing my favourite horse is on the team is the icing on the cake ::D
 
Great for Nicola but gutting for Piggy...did anyone see the very catty tweet by Matthew Wright?
 
which catty tweet was that, what did he say? I'm delighted for Nicola she really deserves this but feel incredibly sorry for Piggy she worked so so hard for this but she will be in future teams and olympics I'm sure :) x

Sad for piggy, but she can at least rest on the fact she was chosen first and not had to rely on others misfortune to make the team. #piggy

Its a horrible remark but Nicola being the professional she is will ignore jealous comments from this person and yes he is jealous me thinks :) bad loser comes to mind very unsportmanlike x
 
My ideal team would have had Piggy AND Nicola on it! share the sadness for Piggy because that is one lady who has absolutely grafted and done her apprenticeship but she will so will be in future teams. Pleased for Nicola who did IMO deserve her place and as for Matthews comments... Probably just misguided loyalty to his friend so,let's leave it at that!

Eventing is going to be amazing. We, the kiwis and Aussies are packing serious teams...!
