Nissan Terrano Towbar probs.....

Hi guys

Not sure this is the best place for this post but I'm at a bit of a loss!

Brought a secondhand Terrano a few weeks ago and before I brought it had a towbar fitted. Since I used the towbar on sunday it's been blowing fuses. I now have no speedo so can't drive it at all!

Just wondered if anyone else had this problem when they had a towbar fitted?

Never had that problem at all. Sounds like the wiring socket is either duff or wired up wrong.

Even when stupid me puts the plug into the socket the wrong way up the most that happens is I get a continual buzz in the car to alert me to my "female drivers" mistake (as hubby puts it! LOL)

You bought from a garage didn't you? Ask them to check the wiring for you.
 
They've told me to go back to the towbar place - which does seem the best option and I paid for it to be done so my responsibility.

Just bloody annoying! Had RAC out to start the car yesterday as a fuse had stopped the lights warning indicator from working so I left the lights on all night (doh!)

I think it must be the towbar though - just strange that it only started playing up once we used it!!
 
Maybe when you used it something has work loose. OH has a Terrano and has had no problems at all with his.... Definately get it back to the Towbar people....
