Struggling to get rid of mud fever, tried lots of different thing but heard good things about Nizarol shampoo so bought some tonight.

Can anyone tell me how I use it? Do I just wash normally and then rinse off, or dilute and leave on? How often should I use it?

Thanks :)

No do not dilute just put some into your hand and using warm water work into a lather and leave for 5/10 mins - then fully rinse off and dry.

I use it on my Fox Terrier too that has a skin allergy..............great stuff!!

Interesting use of my husbands scalp shampoo !!
Didnt know you could buy it, thought it had to be on a prescription.

I just followed the instructions on the box - appears to be working, one leg completely cleared up, other one almost there. It seems a gentler way to go than hibiscrub and picking off scabs. I have put sudocrem on the really sore bits afterwards to protect whilst the fields and tracks have been drying out.

Its used to treat fungal skin infections in humans, so is Head & Shoulders and Selsun Blue (think its called that) so it has many uses.

I use it! Its fab stuff. Mix with warm water and lather up. Make sure you get under the hairs too. I leave it on and don't rinse off.

If it's fungal it will help. I've used it very successfully for ringworm in guinea pigs before. Try a patch test first though

I've just bought a big bottle of Gorgeous Guineas (http://gorgeousguineas.co.uk/) Manuka and Neem shampoo to try on Bree's feathers which are quite flaky. It is just the best thing in the world for guinea pigs with itchy skin and I also use it myself. Obviously I will patch test first. Only downside is that it's not cheap for a 500ml bottle. If it works I might suggest the lady branches into horses. :)
