No Dam Or Sire On Passport?

Hi, I was told I may get a few questions answered on here so thought I would give it a go.

I recently bought an ISH with unusual colouring.. I was really interested in tracing back his breeding to see where he gets his colour from but there's no dam or sire recorded.

Is there any way of finding out this information? The old owner tried to do it a few years back and didn't have any luck.

His show name is Prince Pele and apparently he was brought over from Ireland. A member has also PM'd me mentioned the colour Appiano.

I used to have a pony that looked a bit like that - he was born a dark mahogany skewbald and went through the colour your's is at around 6/7 years old then eventually went flea bitten grey on the dark areas of skin and white on the pink skin.
