Our horse is competing in the BD champs tomorrow and as some of you may know he cut his leg nearly 4 weeks ago.The leg has repaired very well and he went around a course of jumps on sunday to check all was well[he is in the spillers comb.training]he wore a vetrap and was fine, our vet faxed BD to ask for dispensation to wear a vetrap for protection as we were advised by BD to do this but the FEI vet has not allowed it and said to put vasaline on to protect it.Our vet has advised us he will be ok to do the dressage test without anything on,so we are going but it has been such a mess up today that we haven't gone over tonight to let him see the arena[it is very scarey and you could walk your horse in there 5-5.45.
The jumps are up to a good height as well so we will see how it goes ,he has missed a lot of work through the injury and he is not 5 yet so not done much jumping and none at all on grass[ tomorrow is on grass]
Wish us luck ,we need it.ps.horsegroupie bred him and she had her stallion pts today see her post and think of her

Hugely good luck. Really hope it goes ok.

Have managed to get there and walk in arena got pulled up for not wearing number[ didn't know you had to wear it]went to get it, then another official pulled us up about vetrap on leg explained but they were all really snooty, do they own horses and live in the real world were you work really hard to get anything in life and quite often it gets snatched away from you.
I'm sorry we have had a s**t day and should be really looking forward to tomorrow but somehow the shine has been taken off it why do officials have to be so official

How rubbish

Maybe if your experiences dont improve, a letter to H&H over the next couple of weeks wouldn't be a bad idea - just to highlight your own experience

i hope you enjoy tomorrow and wish you lots of luck- I show dogs and especially at crufts the officials are such "job's worth", they are just awful but i have found ways to get past them. But seriously hun, enjoy tomorrow and good luck. x x x

Chin up hun, you go out there tomorrow and give them what for!

I hate it when officials are overbearing, but do remember that rules is rules, even if sometimes they are stupid!

And I do agree with the person who suggested a letter to H&H, just to let the officials know how some competitors feel, you never Know you could be the one letter that changes something for the better!
GOOD LUCK
