She seems quite settled tonight and is quite happily munching her haylage and has eaten all of her tea tonight. There is still no signs of waxing up, so I think she is holding onto Little Hannah for a bit longer yet. Her bag has definitely increased even more so, and she seems a bit sensitive when you touch it at the moment. Not in pain, but just shifts about a bit as though it is uncomfortable.

The foal has gone very quiet tonight... there was no signs of movement from it underneath her tummy. I don't think I am going to check on her tonight as she was very chilled out.

These are some photos of her from tonight (she is a bit muddy and messy...)

She looks really well and very settled, into the last week now bet you are soooooo excited - god im excited and although certainly not a regular poster keep checking to see if little hannah has made an appearance! Do you have a preferance on filly or colt??

Well, the sire is a bay warmblood with three white legs (I think) and a white blaze, and Hannah is dark bay with two white legs and a white blaze. So I'm guessing we're not going to have too much of a surprise with regards to colour and markings

I was thinking she could come this weekend, but not so sure anymore.

hello! My mare is expecting a foal in June, so we have a way to go yet - it's very exciting! Good luck with it all - don't mean to teach you to suck eggs or anything, but they don't always wax up.....................sleep well

lovely blooming gg! She is huge you are gonna have one beast of a foalie! Good luck and im going away this weekend and wont be able to get so ya think she will wait till monday?? lol! Lovely mare BTW!

Wow she looks fab Becki. She's doing you proud. That belly is huge. You have to feel sorry for her, although she doesn't look like she's got too long to go now does she?

She looks really great Becki, really blooming.

Hannah will probably prove me wrong, as horses are like that, but looking at those boobies, I would say that little Hannah isn't quite ready to come out of the oven yet. Now that I've said this, she will probably foal tonight just to spite me... if she does, I will post a chocolate croissant to every forum member who has posted on this thread, as a penance!

It's true some mares don't wax up at all, and some may only have a tiny droplet of wax there for a little while, and then its gone, so it's easy to miss.

Best of luck, hope it all goes smoothly. xxx

Thanks Chambon... I don't think they look as full as some other mares because she is a very well blessed mare in the boobs department. The camera does not really pick up on how swollen they actually are, but they are rock hard, very very full and her udders have more or less disappeared because of all the swelling.

I am going to pop up tonight to check on her. I don't think we will have a foalie this weekend... but then she could be one of those mares that suddenly runs milk and has her foal suddenly.

Thanks Lenny... I have given up trying to guess when she is going to have her foalie! She has not waxed up yet, but there was some clear liquid on the end of her udders tonight.
