I’ve been told Vitamin E should be supplemented if there’s no grass - let’s face it, has anyone got any grass? Horses have plenty of hay but I’m worrying about lack of grass.

Any side effects of giving vitamin E ?
What format is best ?
How much ?

Thanks for any advice

Horses can get a bit spooky if they have too much but if you feed at recommended dose on tub it should be ok. Natural source without selenium is best and that's usually mail order - forage plus or progressive earth.

I'm presuming you've got sufficient selenium via a balancer or the hay. I have to supplement that too, but it's toxic if you OD so I always think it's best to feed E separately.
