I just can't believe it, i got to the yard tonight and there was no haylage. It is provided by the YO and we are not allowed to buy in our own. They said the delivery was 'on the way' but by 7.30pm i'd had enough!!! Some people had gone home leaving their horses with nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily my best mate's dad makes haylage and does mini bales so i drove over there and got a bale, so my 2, and 2 of my friend's horses had haylage.

Just can't believe it!!!!

That is dreadful! Your YO should have rushed round to another supplier for a start just to get a few bales, but people leaving their horses with nothing!!!! That is really awful

...how could they even think of leaving their horses all night stabled with nothing, they would have been better left out foraging!!
lets hope the delivery turned up later!
you did right i would have done the same, infact i would have been at the nearest feed shop buying in before it closed just incase, lol!!

That's appalling! And how could people go home without making sure their horse had forage for 12 hours +? How many desperate or colicking horses will there be in the morning? I'd have turned my horse back out and bugger the rules! We have never, ever had anything like that happen at my yard but I must admit to being the yard Miss Worryguts and I always keep a bag of Horsehage tucked in the corner of my horse's stable just in case an emergency arises.

Well it's worse as most people don't get there till after the shops are shut!!!!!!!! and we were not told.

I think it is totally discrasful way to run a business!!!

I'm leaving on saturday and good job too!!!!!!!!!!!! x

You know my thoughts, totally unprofessional and no way to run a business!
Glad we could help, couldn't bare to see horses with no over night food.
TBH it was lucky you had us as contact, just imagine if you knew no one else with haylage/hay and like you say everywhere is shut at that time of night.
Also as i said it's not as if they would have been full of grass as the fields are bare.....
Bring on the weekend when you can move the girls to your lovely new yard!!! x
