No more 'Thruster of the Week' articles?

I've just learned that my absolute favourite H&H series of articles - 'Thruster of the Week' - will be discontinued
I probably shan’t be able to buy the latest issue of the magazine to read about this in detail. Would anyone be so terribly kind as to tell me in a nutshell what the article ‘Goodnight, Thrusters’ said? Did it give any reasons for this decision?
What a shame! I would sometimes buy a not particularly exciting issue of the magazine MERELY because it featured an interesting person as Thruster of the Week…

Some of the thrusters did not always come across as havign their horse's welfare in mind. I suspect that will be part of the decision.

Oh really? What a poor show. Thoroughly enjoyed reading those articles.

I was hoping it was just due to the end of the hunting season and it would return next season. Its a great feature, what about some thrusters of old?

Horse and Hound will soon become Horse magazine once again, not enough hunting features in general. Can't believe they couldn't stretch to another 2 pages of hunting each week and keep having hunting through the summer?

What about reprinting some old pre-ban hunting days reports as a series through the summer? That would keep me subscribing through the summer, plenty of other options to keep Hound in the title.

Anyhow still a few weeks hunting left.

I hope it might be due to the end of the hunting season.
But the wording in the preview of this week's issue makes me worry that this is not the case.

'Last ever', not 'last in this season' or something.

Maybe someone who read the actual article would be able to tell us what it said

I'm gutted! It was my inspiration for my Saturday's hunting and totally part of my week long psyching-myself-up process! And I agree, H&H doesn't have enough hunting reporting, at a time when more people than ever are hunting and more photographers are out capturing the action. We want more!
