Edited to say... Rather odd title but, no one needs feel obligated to reply, this is just a quick update, although if you want to reply that's fine too x
Ok, well I said I'd probably not be on here this evening but its been fairly quiet this end!
As some of you may have read on the 'other' thread, Ben behaved exceptionally well last night after a slight change in routine (and again tonight) shocked the bejesus out of me but very welcomed after six weeks of psycho dragon
When I got to the yard last night yo impressed upon me that tonight she wanted to be loaded up so we could leave at 7.30 tomorrow morning. So I spent all night writing a list as long as my body
packing, ironing, scrubbing and cleaning, worked today and then went up to yard to ride and load up armed with my list and a pen to tick things off as they went on the lorry
When I got to the yard YO was in a right state, when she had gone to fuel up they realised the indicators were kaput! She was so heart broken as she has only had this lorry for three weeks. She felt awful about the possibility that she couldn't take me, was so stressed. Anyway, contrary to the run up to rc a very wierd calm has settled over me, I was saying 'chillax its fine, what will be will be' (so not me) she said that whatever happened at the very least they could get me there on the Thursday morning in the lorry that doesn't have living accomodation, I told her that if they couldn't fix the indicators we would reasses tomorrow as the decision to go up tomorrow was purely for the best interests of settling Ben and I didn't want to do anything to unduly stress him, if needs be we would cancel.
Anyways, less than an hr later the engineer had come and fixed the problem, an hour later I came back off another fantastic calm and focused ride with Ben, everything was all packed up and I was home with NOTHNG to do all evening at 5.45!
So, we set off at 7.30 tomorrow mornings with some gin and tonic for tomorrow evening, a lorry with working indicators and a Benjamin bunny. It is simply for experience, and am thoroughly looking forward to it.
It was very wierd this evening as my mum is in for a hip replacement on Thursday, I know she is freaking out! She is an ex nurse and actually assisted in some of the very first hip replacement ops... It was a very strange hug we had today before I went to bed.
I promise to update either on Friday or probably over the weekend as I want to spend time with my mum on Friday.
