I only asked because I know what I paid for Doll, and seeing how much people were guessing for other horses, and looking at horses for sale etc, I thought I would see what people thought Doll was worth. Have to say, am glad that a few people think she would produce a good foal with the right stallion, as we are thinking about possibly putting her in foal at some point in the future.

Perhaps people might be able to help me with this one? She is NOT for sale but it would be interesting to see what people would value her at....

She has been broken to ride and drive. Great to clip/shoe/box. Hacks alone and in company but does have a funny thing about tractors. NOT NOVICE RIDE, would suit confident competent rider.

I whacked mine on last night, then read further down and saw a whole bunch. I never price any because I'm totally useless. My husband won't let me talk money buying horses, he does it because I hate bargaining. When I sell I make it clear from the beginning that my price is firm so everyone knows where they stand and there's none of this pussyfooting about.

How do other people come up with a value?
A basic price for size/age/type? Then add a bit for schooling/experience? Competition points? A bit more for colour or breed? Take some away for vices/ailments? Some more for tack & rugs?
 
I put mine on just to take the p*** and the forum promptly crashed on me! So it was taking it a bit too far as I thought it might be
