When you see the above on a "wanted" advert, what do you think?

The thing is, some people seem to want a bombproof, safe - but not a plod - Pony Club horse (not a tiny one) for less than 1.5k which isn't realistic in my opinion, but then they go on to say "No silly prices like people ask these days"...

I think the same as you! That they want something decent for little or no money!

Quite agree, good horses will always fetch good money and with very few exceptions you pay for what you get!

As a current horse hunter, I think this is a tricky one.

I've seen a couple of cobs that were, quite frankly, priced optimistically rather than realistically. Their owners were either asking silly prices or rather niave (sp) to the quality/schooling of their horse.

I've possibly found the right pony, and he's closer to £5k.
