Hi, I have just sold my waterboy as it does not fit in my new trailer and am considering purchasing one of the above. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad of either or these makes please?

My friend bought a mobi-wash for endurance comps, it's brilliant, does the job really well and is very easy to use! Can't recommend enough

bought a nomad after they sponsored a BE event and you were able to go and wash your horse off for free using their nomads with warm water. they worked brill and on the fine mist setting my horse even lets me directly wash her face :). no complaints with it so far!

So they can both be used with warm water? The nomad seems much more expensive! Mobiwasher could be brilliant for me :)

I got the mobi as it was much cheaper at the time, but just had a look and the nomad doesn't seem too expensive now. Certainly copes with hot water. Mine was an eBay bargain :)

I have had both but I didn't get on with the Nomad so I gave it to my husband for his bikes and got the Mobi.

I found with the Nomad the only way to really remove any dirt was on the highest setting and both my horses hated it - I tried it on myself to see why and it actually stung it was that sharp. The lower, mistier sprays didn't really do much at all apart from cool them down.

The Mobi doesn't seem as powerful so the highest setting is enough to give them a good wash without stinging them. The water comes out over a larger area too so it's just better all round for the horses, but if you also want it to wash bikes etc then it's not as good for that.

The battery on the Nomad is much easier to charge, it's just a small section to bring home and plug in whereas the battery on the Mobi is the whole base of the thing so it's a real nuisance to bring home.

In my opinion the battery on the Mobi lasts miles longer than the Nomad. I used the Nomad last winter to wash my horses feet before bringing them in and it would cope with doing 2 lots of feet but not much more. The Mobi does foot after foot after foot and is still going strong enough to wash them too :)

The rubber washers on the Nomad didn't cope with the cold at all last winter and all perished meaning I couldn't use it until they were replaced. I know it states clearly not to keep it outdoors in the cold, but I have to keep it in a tack room & it didn't like it.

Both their customer service departments are excellent. The first Nomad I received didn't work & they replaced it straightaway - no hassle at all. They also send free rubber washers very quickly when I needed them. Mobi were just as good because when my battery charger died they sent a free replacement the next day.

Hope that helps!

I spoke to the guys who sell the nomad at an event and they were using it with warm water. they also clearly said it would be fine to put cold water in and add a kettle of just boiled water too it. after all its a plastic water holder and a hose Im sure just boiling water might hurt the rubber washers but providing its not that hot there is nothing to hurt! think the instruction booklet is just trying to protect from some idiot who fills it with boiling water and uses it repeatedly (on a push bike maybe?) who knows?! but yeh its fine with warm water :)

yeh probs work as well. I bought one with mine as there was an offer on and its designed so you can still carry the nomad easily with it on which is useful for using out hunting :)

After looking at both the Nomad is much the better. more powerful, quieter and much easier to use. So I got one. fantastic. They are also on special offer at Nomad-direct.co.uk at the moment.
