So you're out walking your dog that likes to chase cats. It will run across the street and keep chasing the cat, ignoring any recall, shouting, swearing.
You live in an area with several houses, most have cats.
What do you do...

1. Keep the dog on the lead whilst walking on the streets
2. Let your dog walk off the lead where it is free to pursue any cats in it's path
3. Something else.

I was out in the garden earlier on, I see my very dog friendly cat hurtling past the garden with a golden lab in hot pursuit

Thankfully he went under a parked car where the dog couldn't get to him, but I dread to think what would've happened if my cat hadn't got away

Dog owner grabbed dog and put him on the lead, which was good, as I was about to give him an earful

Normally I would keep Otto on the lead, however I'm sure special allowances could be made for your cat....

He grew up with a great dane puppy as a play mate, he adores dogs, well he did until today

Henry is kept on the lead if I know cats are about but he has chased a couple of unexpected moggies...

I know someone with an evil dog-eating Greebo-type cat that beats cheeky dogs to a quivering pulp - am thinking about taking Henry for an educational visit...

My Cat loves dogs, he has 6 big Spaniel friends at home, but when Otto goes to visit he moves out!

He still loves dogs though, despite his entire head being in Otto's mouth...

Dogs have to be under control when on the highway, sounds as if this one certainly wasn't. In your shoes I might have had a word with the owner. My dogs share their beds with our cats, but if strange cats appeared when they are out they might chase them, but I'm pretty sure wouldn't harm them, however its unlikely to happen as they are never off lead anywhere round houses.

Glad to see sensible dog owners around

Most definately keep them on the lead on the streets as much for their safety as the local cats, which wouldn't stand a bloody chance against my gang of cat botherers
