Mine today is from my mother who commented on my german hackamore i have just bought for my horse;

"why in hell have you bought a torture device for her...is she THAT naughty!?"

I did explain it was for her nose etc... so she "was glad she's not going to have a bit in her mouth again hurting her teeth"..... i dispair. Ive only been around horses 20 years...with her being there most of it

Have posted this before but still makes me chuckle. In the field at the back of my house are a couple of horses. In the summer one wears a fly mask the other a grazing muzzle. Anyhow one day I was walking past two old dears who were looking into the field and one said to the other "That horse mush be vicious, its got a muzzle on" the other one replied "I know, but look at the other one it's blindfolded!!"

The funniest one has to be my non horsey mum.
We recently moved yards and my mare is now in with a gelding... "I hope your horse has been done!".... I think she thinks they are the same as cats and go get neutered
