Non-Horsey... but Castles and Hauntings?

Thought I'd get more replies here then in sb

I'm doing my english coursework for my A level at the moment have to write a short gothic/supernatural story and I've been reasearching vampires and going to do it on them which got me researching Vlad the Impaler.

I found out he used to live in a castle called Castle Poenari in Romania so I've decided to set my story here, after researching the castle I found its meant to be the most haunted castle in the world as over 100,000 people have been killed there

So after hours sat in front of the computer I cannot find one story about how this castle is haunted, so was wondering if anyone knows anything about the hauntings at this castle or can help me find some as I am awful at googling

I dont' know how much time you've got to write your story but I read a book by Elizabeth Kostova called 'The Historian' which is about vampires and goes into the history of Vlad the Impaler. I think it mentions the castle in it but can't really remember. You could read it and hopefully it'll give you some ideas for your story. Plus it's a good book to read
