Hi invermectin doesn't treat tapeworm anyway. For tapeworm you want a wormer containing Praziquantel. This link shows the different active ingredients in the different brands. http://wormers-direct.co.uk/ingredients.html

pinworm is resistant to many wormers. Best to use strongid p at double dose which will do both. If you have a pinworm problem though you may have to re-dose in a month.

Thanks, that's great advice. They've had a clear worm count but I know that doesn't include tape/red/pin worm. I am just about to section off the field for summer grazing do want to make sure wormed for this. I can't use an ivermectin based wormer ascwebhad a case of grass sickness last year

you can do a sellotape test for pinworm

I would use Pyrantel at double dose for tapeworm (strongid P and Pyratape P spring to mind) If Pinworm continues to be a problem then a dose of panacur guard can be given as a follow up.

If wanting to treat for tapeworm only Praziquantal (brand name Equitape ) may be used.
