Non-Leather Long Riding Boots?

Hi,
OH has offered to buy me new long riding boots for Xmas!
He wants to get leather ones, but actually, I'd rather have synthetic so I can wade through mud without worrying about wrecking them.
He got me short leather boots and gaiters a few years ago and I have those for the few shows I get to where it's not knee deep, so smart synthetic ones would be really useful. My Ecuyer ones I'd have since forever finally died this summer.
Average legs but large feet and ankles...

Any good suggestions?

Get leather ones!!! I dont like synthetic ones i always think that the insoles crack and come out and they get most annoying!!!

I have these which are gorgeous and easy, WATERPROOF therefor mud/wee/poo proof and really really comfy I only clean them if I am going somewhere like a lesson with a top person, maybe once in four months!! They're still brilliant! Warm, too!

I'm fairly sure I'll kill them - most my shows seem to involve unfeasible amounts of mud and/or long wet grass. (Low level local stuff, you're lucky to get a working in area never mind an actual path anywhere.)
My ecuyers did 10 years hard work and the insoles finally came out this spring - and yes, annoying hardly begins to describe it. But I don't know if you can even still get them, let alone whether the modern ones are any good.
Unless you know some indestructable leather ones??

They do look gorgeous! I wonder if I could just have them for "every day" so I got to wear them more often?!

Could you do WH in them? I know at my level it's not essential to have the precise kit, but I would prefer to be mostly there so these boots will have to do everything from ODE to showing...

Not sure re the WH They are smart when cleaned up, I would certainly in-hand in them but ridden I suppose I'd always wear my bestest italian plain black leather ones (long story - stand by!)

I call my long black leather "sergio grasso" boots my "firework" boots because I got hit and set on fire by a firework which came out of the packet sideways, at home, nearly hit my two cildren in the face but thank goodness it hit me, so I wrote and asked for small amount of clothing compensation, and said it was dangerous, etc and I got just enough money, and got those boots.

ANYWAY i digress, those ariats in the link, I reckon are pretty indesctrucible. Soo comfy and warm, definitely waterproof.

For ODE I think I'd go for the plain long, not lace up too.

Think I'll avoid the firework route thank you! But good something nice came out of what could have been something awful.
Wonder if the other leather ariats are as indestructible... ? Warm not so essential as I'd mostly wear them June - September. (A very long story, and another reason why expensive leather seems a bit extravagant, even with OH paying!)

I expect they are, or maybe some are built that way and some more just for show; you could definitely ask them....

I have synthetic Mountain Horse ones and they're excellent.

Last winter I got a pair of the Saxon Equileather field boots, about £40 from Robinsons.

I have to say they were often mistaken for the Ariat Heritage ones and although a lot of the finish wore off eventually they stood up to a long winter of abuse pretty well for the money. They were warm and comfy too!
