Are they any good? I would dearly love the all singing motorised one but have very limited funds and there is a very cheap non motorised one for sale local to me. What are your thoughts? Will it be a waste of money?

I wouldn't know. The rare times I've used a treadmill, it's been in the gym so on the expensive motorised version. Can i ask though, why not run outside? I run a fair bit, and always outside. positively hate the gym!

I really dont like to run out side - i have used motorised treadmills a few time and found i liked them - i am so unfit and a couple of stone overweight and so think that i would be more inclined to use a machine rather thsn run outside.

I used one years ago and for me I would go for a motorised one as it sort of pressurises you into keep running or you'll fall off where as the non motor one you can just stop to easy.

I havent heard of the non motorised running machine but have you thought of a rebounder? like a mini trampoline. they are meant to be quite good for fitness i think. (NB that is me being an armchair expert, never used one myself!)

From my experience a non motorised treadmill is very hard work .. I would scour eBay/ preloved and all the Facebook selling pages to buy a motorised one. In my opinion your more likely to stop using a non motorised ( and find it harder to sell on)

I've been looking into this recently as I'm looking to buy :)

wouldnt recommend the non motorised ones, definately go for one that is like the ones you use in the gyms, have you looked on ebay/preloved, you can pick one up for a fraction of the cost.
