Non TIp Feed Bowls

Is there such a thing!!!!!!! My mare drives me to distraction with continually tipping her bucket over and chasing it round the stable; in the process spilling most of her feed in the floor!
Tried a bucket holder on the wall, she will not use it at all. Anyone got any ideas, I have heard about using a tyre to put the bucket in, does anyone now if this works or had experience of it working. Any comments greatly recevied and she is driving me mad!!

as long as i tip the feed into it, (putting it in in the bucket means horse can grab bucket and throw it around!) it works perfectly. nothing's ever managed to tip it over yet...

You can buy a fibreglass feed bowl that fits into an old car tyre &amp; this normally stops the feed bowl being emptied all over the floor.

We have the same problem and are currently using a tyre - he just throws the tyre around the stable as well

Gave up looking, he grew out of it after bout 3 years and now only does it very rarely. If hes stupid enough to chuck it around he can just eat it of the floor became my thinking. Bad mother but don't care!!

I am using a tyre, seems to work.Although he has worked out how to remove an empty bucket from the tyre. He can also move tyre and bucket around the floor as well.

Come on Charliesmum...own up! Your ned will only eat his dinner once he has chucked every last crumb OUT if his feed bowl then he sucks it up from the floor. Must taste nicer!
