We're replacing our current wooden poultry housing; and would like to get some of the non-wooden stuff that's on the market.

We like the "Omlet"/"Egloo" range, but they are a tad pricey.

Does anyone else have any recommendations? Have seen somewhere some re-cycled plastic/synthetic housing, but can't remember where!

Somewhere in the South West of England would be particularly helpful so we could go and pick it up.

Thanks.

Solway make nice coops

Brinsea and Green Frog Designs also make plastic coops

I have five Eglus and Luke them very much

In saying that I have an assortment of wooden housing too and like them equally as much. they are just as easy if not easier to keep clean

A well designed and made coop is just that regardless of material

Got a lovely chooks coop from here: they're local to us but we'd never discovered them till now.

Went to saw it one afternoon last week. They had plenty of choice but we went for the one which we thought we'd use most in the future.

Paid for said item. They delivered it later that day/evening time. Delivering and setting it up is all included in the price and even though we could have driven up with the trailer and bunged it on they said no problem they'd deliver it out coz that was included and that was only right.

So we're very satisfied with that. Saw it, bought it, got it, all the same day.

In these days of bad customer service being the norm that's not bad eh???

I have spent months looking for a new suitable henhouse for my 7 hens, they decided the issue by roosting in the barn, on a 3 way ladder set up long and low, stuck some cardboard boxes underneath for nesting and bobs your uncle, saved a fortune and happy hens
