Had the saddler out yesterday as the grey beast isn't happy in his back so I had his saddle checked. The verdict was that my saddle is horrendous and ponio is quite sore all along his back. How bad to I feel?!
It turned out to be a VERY expensive afternoon and I have got a shiny new saddle on order. Yippeeeee! I now have to sell all my worldly goods and body to pay for it!! Don't tell the OH as I'm meant to be saving money for moving in together. Whoops!
Anyway, the silly question is..... My current saddle has been rubbed by my stirrup leathers. Is this normal or is it due to the saddle, cheap leathers, poor (or lack of!) tack cleaning or my wobbly feet that have caused this? What can I do to stop this happening to my lovely new saddle when it arrives??
