not sure about the title Nord Redefin Stud Book. landgestuet redefin is the home of the Mecklenburger warm blood and is located in the far north-east of Germany on the Baltic coast. they probably hold any stud books. the stud has a website at www.landgestuet-redefin.de but its all in German - unlike ours here at Haupt-und-Langestuet Marbach (!) hope this points you in the right direction.......

Thank you, I have just been given the papers for my mares sire and I am trying to trace her back, my german is well, non existant

as you can tell at home on a friday night

hi Clare
went to bed last night with my thinking cap on and it occurred to me that the breed society (zuchtverband) might also hold the stud book/s. this happens alot with german breeds. the society can be found at www.mecklenburger-pferde.de/pferdezuct but again, it's all in german. after some investigation i found frau kerstin tetzlaff who, i believe, might be able to help you. send her an email at kerstin.tetzlaff@gmx.de don't worry about the language - alot of german people have a knowledge of english. if she can't halp you she probaly knows someone who can.
