I am shortly moving back to this areas and wondered if anyone know anything about these people? Is it thriving or has it died. I went to a demo at Running Free Farm when it first opened and found them off-puttingly dictatorial and never went back . I know that Joanna has some people who don't support her, but I don't know if thats because she is brave, or just that they have a very limited ethos.

They do seem to have some events that are quite chilled out - are they very cliquey? PM me if your thoughts aren't suitable for a public forum!! Thanks.

The last that I heard was that when the Vet who was attached to the place was stopped by the Police, whilst motoring, he climbed on to the roof of his car and repelled all invaders with an umbrella. To be truthful it's a rather strange establishment, but as they say, each to their own!!

Should you need any help, when you arrive, let me know and if we can help you, then we will.

Alec.

They are still doing stuff and had what looked like being a very interesting open day earlier this year. I'd want to be involved myself were it not for some of the personalities involved. The ethos is fairly limited and some members show a blanket condemnation of anyone who doesn't do things 'their way' -- tho the same could be said for other groups. I wasn't hugely impressed by the little I saw of JM training an acquaintance's horse and given that she was subsequently shockingly rude for no good reason to a friend of mine who is one of the nicest and most inoffensive people you could meet I've no further reason to want to have any more contact with her, to be honest! Bit of a shame, really.

Alec, lovely offer thanks, and your comments make them seem rather fun - or least I would get a few stories to dine out on ....

But sadly Burnttoast, this is what I worry about, that the good bits are overshadowed by the bad. Oh well!
