See below - this message has come to my via colleagues in Pony Club. The
theft she talks about was of two coloured cobs stolen in Gt Yarmouth
area - again people had been seen looking over fences into fields etc.

Hi there, please can you circulate. - I had two men come to my
door on Wednesday 28 May at 11am to try and sell horse insurance as he
had seen my horses at back of property? They were in a silver vauxhall
vectra. Police attended immediately and traced them, (they appear to be
geniuine)?? I am still not sure as they were keen to come in and said
they arrange lots of farm insurance in area, and even dropped farmers
names, but this is not entirely true. Police have advised me to obtain
number plates in future and contact them immediatley anyone suspicious.
(Or contact 999 immediately). That was suffolk police the stolen horses
in Gt Yarmouth are under Norfolk Police. They were very helpful and even
had forensic on standby. There is definately something going on. (We
also had an ifor williams tipper trailer stolen Sat. 10 May around
1.30am. chain cut with bolt cutters on gates) There may be gangs of
these people. They will be very clever. Do not let anyone onto your
property. Regards S.G..
