Its just u always hear people mention welshies, tb, ish ect and never norman cobs! This was when we had just agreed to buy her and she was at previous owners yard x

Well,....they say you leanr something new every day, today I have learnt 2 things! 1) what a norman cob is (btw, they look loooovely :0) and 2) that my welshy mare love the OH more than me

Oh my goodness cornishkez your boy looks humungous, nicely put together though and in lovely condition. Mine is only 16 hands so looks a dot in comparison. Looks like he has a smashing temperament too which most of them do. What are your plans for your boy?

He is a big boy! He's only been with me a couple of months, he belongs to friends that have emigrated to canada. I am just a happy hacker, so we just plod about the lanes. He's been out of action for a few weeks now due to a really, really nasty abcess. We've moved fields recently too and the abundance of grass has meant he's gaining weight quickly. Think I may even need to bring out the muzzle....in january! His owners said he has to spend the whole summer muzzled. Once he's fitter I'd like to get some lessons together. I'd love to see him in a show ring, but his size means he'd have to do maxi cob and I've seen that in Cornwall? He doesn't jump, though he banks pretty good when he's being an escape artist! lol. What do you guys do with yours?

Scrumpy is lovely and they do make fantastic hacks, will go all day. Mine is a good doer too, fat on thin air type :( good luck with the muzzle, mine would whip that off in a second. She isn’t 7 yet, was due to do a bit of local showing and dressage this summer but she fractured a knee in a field accident between Christmas and NY so not sure what the future holds. The box rest isn’t helping her ample curves. Hopefully we can return to hacking but if not she’ll live a very happy retirement with me. Good luck with your boy whatever you end up doing together. And do stay in touch, think we need to get a Cob Normand appreciation club going.
